Know your Symbols - Labels Direct Online by STP Stationery

There are a number of signs with graphical symbols in use that represent the same safety message. It is our policy where possible to use designs from British Standards, which in many cases incorporate the best technical information from ISO (International Standards Organisation).

Prohibition A white circle with a red circular band and diagonal cross bar. The symbol indicates that a certain behaviour is prohibited.
Hazard A yellow triangle with black border. The symbol gives warning of a hazard.
Mandatory A blue circle with a white symbol. The symbol indicates that a specific course of action must be taken.
Fire Equipment A red oblong or square with a white symbol. The symbol indicates the location of fire fighting equipment.
Safe Condition A green oblong or square with a white symbol or text. The symbol provides information about safe condition.
